Zigzag Goldenrod
Solidago flexicaulis
Limited Quantities
A unique woodland goldenrod, Zigzag Goldenrod brings brilliant colour to shaded gardens and forest edges when few other native plants are in bloom. Unlike most goldenrods that thrive in full sun, this species flourishes beneath deciduous trees, producing graceful arching stems with bright yellow flower clusters that follow a distinctive zigzag pattern.
Blooming from late summer into fall, Zigzag Goldenrod provides an essential late-season nectar source for native bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects preparing for winter. It spreads slowly by rhizomes, forming attractive colonies without becoming aggressive, making it an excellent choice for woodland gardens, shaded borders, and ecological restoration projects.
Its adaptability, long bloom period, and exceptional wildlife value make Zigzag Goldenrod one of the finest native perennials for bringing pollinator activity into shaded landscapes.
