Eastern Purple Coneflower
Echinacea purpurea
This wonderful plant has showy pink-purple flowers with a burnished copper coloured centre. Hummingbirds love the nectar in the summer and small birds enjoy the seeds in the fall.
Not native to Ontario, but widely naturalized.
