Bulblet Fern
Cystopteris bulbifera
A compact and interesting fern found in rocky, calcareous soil of woodlands. This fern reproduces by spores as well as by producing small bulblets which grow along the mid stems of the leaf. These will quickly set down roots when knocked to the ground and start to grow fronds.
